Sometimes it’s good to have more than 1 major river. In 2007 Point Park in Pittsburgh was under construction so they moved the Pittsburgh Regatta from the Allegheny River, between the stadiums and the park, over to the Monongahela River.
The new location, when watched from the Mon Wharf, gave a great backdrop of Mount Washington, Station Square and the south side riverfront for a background.
