We made a trip down to Columbus in February to watch the Ohio State Men’s Hockey team play. Since we had the entire day to get there, we took the scenic route through Amish country where our parking spot for lunch at a restaurant had a different ‘vehicle’ in front of us when we came out, a horse and buggy.
The highlight of this game was during first intermission, when the Ohio State Marching Band performed their famed Script Ohio routing, only on the ice instead of a football field.
Held at Schottenstein Arena, there was also a collection of decorated Brutus the Buckeyes throughout the concourse. Also on site was a small Ohio State athletics museum.
The game itself was well played, as the skill level of the players is equivalent to a high minor league professional team.
