The Military Air Preservation Society (MAPS) runs a small museum at the Akron Canton Airport in Northern Ohio. As noted by the name, it has mostly military aircraft, as well as a small museum.
Personally I like civilian aviation better, but the volunteers there took great care in restoration of the old aircraft.
