The city of Lexington, Kentucky like many cities has some murals around town. Unlike anywhere we have ever seen, they seem to have them everywhere – and most are very well done.
In addition they aren’t all the traditional history based murals – rather many have artistic statements. Below is an extensive view of many of the murals – if you are interested in more details behind them I recommend checking out the two links below:

We spent a few hours on a mural scavenger hunt and found most of them. This posting is quite long with around 40 photos in it.

Would you happen to know the name of the mural of the couple asleep at the kitchen table and/or the location/building on which it’s painted. I’ve searched online and can’t seem to find any information on it, and your website is the only one I’ve across with any type of picture of that mural on it. Thanks!

If you google streetview 152 West Short Street in Lexington Kentucky you will see this one, and another across the parking lot. I had two different guides that had information on each of them but can’t locate them now – I suggest contacting the visitor center in Lexington, where I picked them up.
