Youngstown – October 2006 – Steelhounds Hockey

For a few years Youngstown had a minor league hockey team called the Steelhounds. Playing in the Central Hockey League against teams mostly in Texas and other far away places, they constantly lost money, and were eventually kicked out of the league.

They weren’t really a developmental team, mostly older players still living the dream, so it was as close to the movie SlapShot as you will get.
