It had been a long morning of driving when we arrived in Charleston, West Virginia.
Ready to get Teddy and Pearl out of the car and stretch everyone’s legs, we decided to find the State Capitol grounds, which interestingly are not right in the middle of downtown, rather about a mile south of downtown. But we found it, with plenty of parking available on this day after Memorial Day, and wandered the well shaded grounds checking out the buildings.
