Our final posting features some interesting natural scenery of Kansas.
The first stop is the appropriately named Prairie Dog State Park.

The next stop is the strangely named Little Jerusalem State Park, a badlands area.

In my opinion the best, by far, is Monument Rocks. A collection of chalk monoliths located in otherwise flat western Kansas rise 50′ above the prairie.
We visited them in the early morning, with great lighting from the rising sun.

The final day was a long drive home, taking us through the chili pepper capital of the world, Hatch New Mexico.

Finally, after 21 days, we are home.
