In Rhinebeck there is an old stone church, with portions dating from the late 1700s

Hyde Park is home to the Vanderbilt Mansion, FDR’s home as well as a great little train station.

Just up the hill from the train station is one of the support buildings for the Vanderbilt Mansion. The road is lined with an impressive stone wall.

New York Route 17 runs for nearly 400 miles along what is known as the Southern Tier. Much of hill goes through scenic hills and small mountains.

Hammondsport is a small town on one of the Finger Lakes, Keuka Lake.

Another great stone building is in the Letchworth State Park.
